Pivoting in the Virtual World
2020 has certainly been a whirlwind for everyone. The COVID 19 pandemic has caused uncertainty everywhere, but the team at Crewsouth has been working hard to adjust to the new normal and continue to produce engaging content for our clients. The key has been the pivot to the virtual. See below how we have helped a few our clients recently.
Parkinson Association of Alabama
Recently we have partnered with our friends at the Parkinson Association of Alabama. The PAA has a long history of providing valuable resources to Parkinson patients and caregivers across the state of Alabama. Each year, they host an annual fundraiser event called Taste For A Cure that brings people together for a great cause. Without the ability to get together for their annual fundraiser dinner, Crewsouth helped the PAA take the event virtual. We hosted a 90 minute facebook live production in our studio - including multi cameras and a live switched charity auction over facebook live.
With Covid 19 travel challenges for ESPN’s Laura Rutledge, during May through July, ESPN turned to the studio at Crewsouth. With our reliable LTN connection, Laura anchored several weeks of appearances on First Take and Get Up.
Senator Doug Jones
US Senator Doug Jones has hosted numerous weekly facebook live press conference events from the studio at Crewsouth. These press conferences to the local and national press, and constituents around the state, have included video content roll ins, powerpoint slides and multiple guests “zoomed in” from around the state and around the country. Dr. Anthony Fauci even made a recent appearance which made national headlines.
Recently we were approached by Birmingham based Ibml, makers of some of the world's fastest document scanners. Ibml needed to reach their customer base without the benefit of their usual trade show opportunities. The answer was to bring the trade show to their customers with the production of 2 days of live event presentations privately broadcasted to their customers over a zoom connection. The virtual roadshow was shot with multiple 4k cameras, and included live switched demonstrations, video roll ins and power point content. Afterwards the presentations were available as marketing videos, enhancing the value of the original live production.
It wouldn’t be the truth to say we saw all of these opportunities before the Covid crisis, but with a little creativity to our approach, we are proud of the way we have been able to assist our clients during these challenging times.
